Technical and Business Training

Month one and two: Consist of required reading plus optional reading, done by correspondence. Your goal is to gain a background understanding of the Buteyko Method, asthma and its physiology. An exam will be given at the end of week seven.

Month three: A senior Buteyko practitioner will lead theoretical classes for the month. Trainees will observe then train under supervision, done in situ.

Trainees successfully complete exams, display and understanding of the Buteyko Method and how to teach it. New practitioners gain probationary status from the Buteyko Institute of Breathing and Health, on successful completion of the second module of the course.

Month Four through Nine: Probationary Practitioner Section by correspondence

Practitioners prepare then submit monthly patient reports, describing patients treated and the effect on their condition. A minimum of six months course notes, including fifty patients course notes. A template for recording course notes will be provided.

Part Two: Running a Buteyko Practice
The aim of Part Two is to teach trainees how to run a commercially viable practice.

Trainees learn how to manage and market a financially viable Buteyko practice.

Month three: Consists of full time practitioner training, in situ. Marketing and cashflow are the focus. Completion consists of a short presentation and successfully completing a series of examinations.
